Description: Estes 29mm Screw-on Motor Retainer. There are as many ways to hold the motor in on mid-power rockets as there are rocketeers, which is why I don't include motor retention in my kits. I have been asked many times how I do it and this is my preferred method on 29mm single-motor rockets. This retainer is manufactured by Estes from high-tempurature plastic and holds up really well to the heat of a launch. It requires 3/8" of exposed motor tube past the rear centering ring and should be glued on with high-tempurature epoxy (like JB Weld). This is a listing for one two-piece motor retainer.
