How do you sharpen the blade? - A hone stone is included to remove burrs on the flat side of the blade - don't hone the bevel. On typical laminate flooring, vinyl, or fiber-cement board, you will get thousands of cuts on a blade with proper care - they last years for most owners. Blades are easily replaced and inexpensive considering how long they last. What is the difference between the old Sharpshooter and this one? - The 2.0 has a longer handle for better leverage / more power, new bearings for both power and durability, a cam-integrated lock so there's no pin to lose (or get caught under the blade), a better rail attachment system for strength, an embossed ruler rather than a vinyl adhesive one, fence fitted with pins rather than the old hardware / wing nut combination for better fit and to prevent loss of fasteners, a new head and base beam design, stronger, more durable attachment hardware; overall, just a more durable, stronger tool.
