The original model used limba wood (korina), and its modern design based on straight lines was inspired by the space development that was popular in the United States at the time. The style was so innovative that it was not generally accepted, and only 98 units (there are various theories) were manufactured between 1958 and 1959, after which production was discontinued. Today, it is one of the most difficult guitars to obtain. The Korina Flying V that has arrived this time is a faithful reproduction of the original Flying V, created by Epiphone and Gibson Custom Shop. Like the original model, it has a range of distinctive specifications, including a korina body and korina neck, and a long neck tenon that ensures a strong connection between the body and neck. In addition, the fingerboard is made of Indian laurel instead of rosewood, and gold parts are used for the hardware.
