The mortise lock features a two stage bolt that extends 3/8" with one revolution of the European profile cylinder and a full 3/4" with a second revolution. The European profile cylinder is securely attached to the mortise lock through the mechanism face plate and cannot be removed from either side of the door. Stainless steel and steel construction insures strength and durability. Outer stainless steel trim plates attach to inner steel plates that bolt together through the door resulting in no exposed trim mounting screws on either side of the door.
