Description: Beautiful whether on your breakfast tray or kitchen counter, this cut crystal and sterling top sugar caster is a classic design made with quality components. The crystal is cut to catch and refract the light like a diamond, and is marked on the base with an etched “JK.” The sterling silver top is pierced and etched in a floral design with a classic finial and was made by noted silversmiths J.B. Chatterley & Sons LTD of Birmingham. The English hallmarks also indicate it was made in 1967. The caster measures approximately 7 inches to the top of the finial, has a 1.5 inch opening that tapers to a 2.75 inch base. J.B. Chatterley & Sons Ltd has been operational since the 1850s and was established in Birmingham by John Bishop Chatterley. John was a manufacturer of glass and japanned goods, however transitioned his company to crafting silver and electroplated items by 1894.
