Description: A superb vase handpainted by Molly Hancock with vibrant woodland flowers against a brown background. Flowers are in colours of cobalt blue, yellow and red with sponged seagreen interior. The vase is 6" in height and 3 1/2" in diameter. Vase is stamped "Molly Hancock". Molly Hancock was a renowned ceramics designer and artist for S. Hancock and Sons in Stoke on Trent England. She was the youngest daugher of Jabez Hancock, one of the founders of the company. Hancock produced mostly decorative wares and children's sets such as Elf and Bunnies, Little Bo Peep along with Cherry ripe and Crermorne after WWI.
