Fine original early-19th century American engraved map, with attractive hand color. Of note for the early date of the cartographic production within the country, the turn of the 18th/ early 19th century era begin still the infancy for production in the Industrial Revolutionary age. Clean condition, top left blank margin shaved close to neat line long ago. Longitude on the map across the bottom is measured from Philadelphia, a key give-away to the American origin. Most English language maps of this era employ London, Greenwich and other European locations, but American cities are almost only seen when the engraved production is within America. B14814
