The Nightwatchmen theme is highly collectable and researching these I seen a listing on a non-ebay China auction (not sure if I can post actual auction company) over $150 for this set. I do not know the year manufacture of this set. The company started in 1815 and added the name "Royal" to Doulton in early 1900's. Versions of the night watchmen were discountinued in the mid 1940's. Don't know if this was one of them. Under a bright flashlight beam I can see some crazing indicating some possible age. These pieces are really nice. Please look at the images closely to see the embosed flowers and detail of the art work. These are priced very nicely for the buyer. No Reserve! Highest bidder is the winner! Good Luck everyone!
