This aftermarket stub axle fits 1969-1979 VW Type 1 Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 3 Squareback, Notchback, Fastback, and VW-based dune buggies with IRS rear suspension. The stub axle fits in the IRS trailing arm. Based on the Thing stub axle, this replaces reference number 181-501-263 and converts your arm to use larger CV joints. Fits 100mm diameter Bus or Thing CV joints and fits 8mm-1.25 bolts. Sold each. 2 are used per vehicle.
