Description: On offer, we have an original painting by American artist Emil Kosa Jr.. This stunning portrait of a nude woman holding a jug is painted in pastels on brown paper. It is signed on the bottom right "Emil Kosa". On the back it is titled "M.M. 243". About the artist: Emil Kosa Jr. (1903-1968) was a multi-talented artist and prominent member of the California Scene Painting movement. For more than three decades he was art director for 20th Century Fox. In 1964 he won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for his work on "Cleopatra". This is a wonderful example of his talent. We believe this in excellent condition. The painting is bright, bold and clear. There are the expected fingerprints from a work in pastels. This has been handled and has a few light wrinkles. As I am not an expert on art, please see my photographs for more description. This is from my friend who collects everything and is starting to part with a few of his treasures.
