Description: Another Emerson Bill Navajo tour de force from the same Catalina Foothills estate as the large repousse bracelet I have listed is this second ingot copper cuff - here with bold rows of the robust prepared stamp work for which he is internationally known. The wrist ornament comprises an old style "C" shaping of thick ingot metal, thoughtfully elevated by skillfully curved scalloped edges. Ample physical signs of Emerson's labor intensive bench artistry and the accurate rendering of those deeply struck stamps tell the story. There is really no mistaking an Emerson Bill bracelet, either a desirable older beauty like this one or any of his more recent wearable artworks. As someone once said, that's a good thing. I do believe this a 1980's or perhaps 1990's effort , as the other mentioned bracelet from that Tucson home. Weight is very good for the form at about 80.4 grams on my portable digital scale - that's over 2 1/2 troy ounces of Arizona copper. Condition is quite fine, with a nice aura of time to the surfaces. Be aware I have avoided every urge to refresh away or "improve" upon any accrued toning - you want that done, you do it. I typically nitpick for the obsessive, and in this case there are really no issues to mention for accuracy. All typical and expected evidence of previous wrist duty simply validates the history. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. Inner circumference is about 6 in. plus the 1 in. opening. About 1 21/32 in. vertical (wide) - so yes, on that account and by visual charisma it will be noticed.
