Elvira's House of Mystery #1-2, 4-11 & Special High Grade DC Lot Dave Stevens

Description: Offered here is a near complete run of the 1986-87 DC Comics title ‘Elvira’s House of Mystery’: Issues 1 and 2, issues 4 to 11, and the 1987 Haunted Holidays Special. Picked all these up at the same time from a local comic shop - why no issue 3 he couldn’t say - but they are all in really, really nice shape. I am not a comic grader, but I don’t see any spine ticks on any of the comics you’ll be getting. The corners are sharp. The only comic here that - to my eyes - appears to be of lesser quality is number 2, with the white cover. Along the left side front cover appears slightly discolored, not sure if it’s fading, staining, or what? But take a look at all the black covers and see how immaculate they all look. I thought about sending the Dave Stevens cover #11 to CGC, as I felt that, with a pressing, it could be a 9.8 contender. That bottom right front corner isn’t as sharp as the other 3 corners, so don’t know if that alone would knock it down a grade or two. Back and forth I went with this… Also thought about sending the number 1 to CGC to be graded, since it’s a newsstand copy. Don’t think it’s a 9.8 due to the typical obstacles these 68 page comics face - with this copy, the top right front corners of the entire comic aren’t completely lined up. But this is a decision for you to make - if they’re worthy of professional grading. (To me, the Haunted Holidays Special is also worthy of consideration.) I just don’t want to deal with CGC and all their issues right now. And no matter what you decide, you’ll still have a solid high grade near-complete run of a cool Elvira comic book in your collection. Those are my thoughts, so please take a look at all the pictures - I did my best and really did not want to remove the comics from their already bagged and boarded conditions.
