Description: Elegant Japanese Taisho Multi-metal Okimono - Crane & Frog. Japanese Taisho period (1912-1924) elegant multi-metal (silver and bronze)okimono of a baby crane on the oar trying to catch a frog on the rock. Please see pictures. The okimono comes with a fruitwood base . The sterling silver bird is removable (marked silver over the bottom) as well as the frog also made of sterling silver but not marked. The gilded flowers , the rock and oar are made from bronze , black patina on the oar and green patina over the rock. The bird and frog are sterling (.950) and 128 grams by weight together. Okimono is in excellent condition with no dings,dents,scratches,losses,or restorations. Serious collectors are welcome. It is 8 ⅞” long x 3” tall x 3” wide (without base). The base is 7 ½” wide x 5 ⅜” deep x 1” tall
