De-soldering the unit with only 3Pins will be a lot easier than replacing the entire joystick with as many as 14 prongs [Reminder of Replacement] – Use a pair of pliers to separate the problem sensor off the joystick module. Try to replace the wiper first, see if it works. De-solder the sensor off the PCB. A metal pick helps to clear the holes. Soldering the new unit in is a breeze.
