Description: The Astrophysical Journal , A SPIRAL NEBULA AS A STELLAR SYSTEM, MESSIER 31, Edwin Hubble. Vol. 69, No. 2, March 1929. This exquisite copy includes Hubble's paper which proves that the 'Great Andromeda Nebula' is a galaxy far removed from our own galaxy 'The Milky Way.' Hubble was a great cosmologist and he has been enshrined him as one of the foremost scientists of the early 20th century. This particular copy is in very good condition. The only flaws are small chips on the fragile edges of the wrapper, a faint pencil marking on the front cover and a missing corner on the top edge of the back. The binding remains tight and the spine is entirely intact. This an extremely rare issue and the finest copy that can be acquired. It has been maintained in a climate controlled smoke free environment for the 30 years that I have owned it. IT WILL BE DELIVERED TO YOU AT MY COST WITH INSURANCE.
