His work focuses attention on faces. Faces of peasants and black women, in short, on anonymous village faces. But, in the architecture of these heads, in the vigor of their lines, in the textures and qualities, a marked abstract influence is implied, although not always. He achieves true transparencies with convoluted lines.Those suggestive crossings awaken and animate his face, managing to convey to us the erection that they make their way through the tangle of the tropical jungle. Searching for the rhythms of that jungle, it's contrasts, its movements, he creates an atmosphere of sensual nuances. Su obra centra la atención en los rostros. Rostros de campesinos y negritas, en fin, sobre anónimos rostros de pueblo. Mas, en la arquitectura de esas cabezas, en el vigor de sus trazos, en las texturas y calidades está implícita, aunque no siempre, una acentuada influencia abstracta. El consigue con enrevesadas líneas verdaderas transparencias. Esos sugerentes entre cruzamientos despiertan y animan sus rostros logrando transmitirnos el erecto de que se abren paso entre maraña de la selva tropical. Buscando los ritmos de esa selva, sus contrastes, sus movimientos, crea una atmósfera de sensuales matices.
