EDGAR WINTER'S WHITE TRASH. Ugly cover but EXLNT record! Amazing playing!

Description: Sometimes you can't tell a record by looking only at its cover. Inside the rough looking cover, here's an excellent, barely played copy of Edgar Winter's White Trash, produced by Rick Derringer. • Original 1971, 1st release, E 30512.• Record quality is VG+, with like new sound. Very clean. Played only a few times. • Cover sleeve is rubbed badly and split along top. The ink hasn't worn well over the years. My cat used to use a shelf of my records as a scratch pad for a time. That's what caused the split, but the sleeve did it's job and the record was not hurt. • Original inner sleeve is plain white and split along bottom center. Songs here are a terrific blend of rock, rhythm & blues, funk, gospel and pop. Recorded loud, the band is incredibly tight, with a big band sound that includes, horns, strings, and rich backing vocals. Nice lead vocals too with Jerry laCroix singing most leads and Edgar and others providing harmonies and occasional leads. Brother Johnny plays on I've Got News For You. Derringer plays on Keep Playin' That Rock 'n' Roll. Notes on back include a quote from Francois Villon and a poem by Patti Smith.
