Description: HERE IS A 3 1/4" X 5 1/2" GOVERNMENT POSTCARD, SIGNED BY ED STEWARD. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, WITH LIGHT WEAR. POSTCARD IS DATED JULY 6, 1948. ED "BUD" STEWART WAS AN OUTFIELDER FOR 9 YEARS IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES: WITH THE PITTSBURGH PIRATES FROM 1941-42; WITH THE NEW YORK YANKEES IN 1948; WITH THE WASHINGTON SENATORS FROM 1948-50; AND WITH THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX FROM 1951-54. HE APPEARED IN 773 GAMES, AND RETIRED WITH A CAREER BATTING AVERAGE OF .268. ED STEWART DIED JUNE 21, 2000. COMES WITH A COPY OF A LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM JSA (JAMES SPENCE AUTHENTICATION.)
