Description: This listing is for 50+ SEEDS from open pollinated Echinocereus subinermis var. luteus cactus. Seeds are from 2022 harvest. It is endemic to Northern Mexico and is the least armed of the genus with its very short spines and huge yellow flowers with green stigma. It blooms in spring and summer and flowers will last up to 6 days. AIf you’re a fan of the genus, Echinocereus, then this is a must have. This is best placed in partial-shade during the hot summer months, but can be under full sun during winter. You will notice the skin will have a purple tinge during winter full sun exposure which is less harsh than summer. These seeds germinate easily in about 2 weeks in my experience. There are lots of instructions online for cactus seed germination. I use the ‘baggie method’ with great success. It is optional to pasteurize the soil before sowing, which I do, to prevent fungus growth. It’s really fun growing cactus from seeds. SHIPS FREE TO 48 contiguous states only. Ships in a bubble mailer, no tracking, but will provide you a photo of the proof of mailing receipt.
