Description: Early Space Station Concept Art on "A KODAK PAPER" 10"x 8" Glossy black and white landscape orientation. Backside watermarks are "A KODAK PAPER"Signature in print is "BROGAN"1" tear on lower border. We found this today in a box with some other NASA pictures and posters. We believe it to be vintage. There are no identifying marks, other than being on A Kodak Paper and the artist's name. It bears a strong resemblance to the Rockwell space station concepts of the 1960s, or even some concepts from the 1950s. Note the seatbelt or lap bar holding the man in his seat working at the desk. A second man in a jumpsuit is changing out of or into a spacesuit. The massive tape reel-to-reel data machines are installed to fold down for repairs! Early space station concepts seemed to have plenty of space and volume inside compartments. Then later came the reality that it is expensive and challenging to launch things into space and much more equipment began to be packed into smaller spaces. However, the idea of using rocket sections as tubular compartments led to Agena and then to Skylab so the idea worked in the end. A rare and interesting item for space and NASA enthusiasts! Used, as-is. Three-ring binder holes on top border. A 1" tear is on the bottom border. Corners are creased. Some wear. On the reverse side a spot is missing a layer of paper from an adhesive label, also some dirt and spots on backside. See attached pictures.
