Description: This is a real neat vintage theater program for the hit play --- pre-Charleton Heston version of Ben-Hur in 1912. I found this piece of paper fascinating. I lived in Chicago 20 years and didn't know the history of the Colonial Theater. It was opened as the Iroquois Theater in 1903 and was soon the scene of the most deadly theater fire in U.S. history with over 600 dead. It was reopened in 1905 as the Colonial. The program is chocked full of great ads for business long gone --- including some odd ball car brands. Great Chicago history. I have a large inventory of vintage paper: auto manuals, military paper, railroad stuff, food and recipe paper, political pamphlets, oddball magazines, entertainment paper --- just about any paper you can think of. Some of it is in perfect shape and some is in rough condition. Things to look out for in the photos are page yellowing, corner bumping, rips and tears, handwriting, etc. --- normal flaws in old paper. Carefully examine my studio-quality photographs. I do my best to document any flaws or issues. I tend to go overboard in showing flaws. I hate surprises when I buy on eBay as much as you do.
