Description: Early 20th Century (1915) charcoal drawings portrait of a lady on creme, laid, watermarked paper (marked "E.T.). Sheet size is approximately 19" x 24". The artist is unknown. This drawing -- along with others listed on eBay--came from the attic of an Annisquam, MA, estate and was auctioned by Michael Grogan Auctions of Dedham, MA, in the early 2000's. The faint sketching at the bottom right of the sheet suggests that this was a preliminary drawing for a portrait painting. The name in the upper right (Allen?) may be a clue to who the sitter or artist was. The date reads "May 3 '15". As seen in the photographs, the drawing is in rough condition and has tears around the edges and one small tear in her hair. The quality of the drawing is such that it warrants being preserved and someone may find a clue who did it. Unmatted and unframed. FREE SHIPPING. We normally ship items within one to two business days via USPS. Sorry. No sales or shipments outside of the United States. We endeavor for complete customer satisfaction, however no returns unless there is a significant problem such as wrong item shipped. Please note that colors of the artwork received may vary slightly from scans as they appear on this site due to variations in computer monitors and browsers.
