Description: Bromo-Seltzer was America’s premier headache and hangover remedy in the early 1900s. The demand probably caused the bottles to be manufactured quickly since many of them have multiple flaws which also makes them such an interesting collectible. This one stands 2 ½” tall in a deep blue color with the heavy rolled lip consistent with the early 1900s style. It should say ‘BROMO SELTZER EMERSON DRUG CO BALTIMORE M D” but whatever happened in the mold smashed the BR so that only the MO is left and made a blobby mess that extended down and smudged the R in Drug as well. I believe these had separate mold numbers on the bottom. This one is a “17”. It is in dug condition with some haze but no damage. Collectors like the mistakes and variants and this one is a messy must have for your Bromo collection.
