Description: EAPG Bellaire Glass Ohio Currier & Ives Balky Mule On RR Tracks 12.25" Tray 1880 Click images to enlarge Description EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass) Findlay Glass, Bellaire Goblet Co Ohio Currier & Ives Balky Mule On Railroad Tracks Large 12 1/4" Round Tray 1880-1898 This one is in Very Good Condition NOTE: The verticle seam or edge of the rim has rough spots and some little flea bites. They are easier to feel with your fingers than see. There are Air bubbles around the verticle edge (The bubbles and rough spots are from the way the glass was manufactured over one hundred years ago) of the platter some of the bubbles have popped and left little holes (SEE Pictures close up). There are some scratches you can sometimes notice when holding it to the light. Very nice antique round large water glass holder Serving Tray. The design appears to be an African American family. You can see the father, mother & 2 kids (one barefoot on top of a barrel) plus their dog, all in a 2-wheeled donkey cart, the parents urging their donkey (using parasols) to cross the train tracks quickly as the #12 engine approaches. There is also a cabin in the background. The father is wearing a top hat and the mother has on a typical 1890s-period bonnet. The tray has some weight to it. This was made in two different sizes. This is the larger size with the double-row of daisy and button pattern design up to the verticle rim of Thumbprints. This measures 12 1/4" Wide Rim to Rim x 1 1/4" High verticle edge rim. I have provided a lot of pictures to best describe the condition of this Water Glass server. (The pictures are of the exact pieces you will receive).
