Description: Offered for your consideration is a clear glass open jelly compote made by the Indiana Tumbler and Goblet Company (1894-1899) in their number 137 pattern. Also known as "Pleat Band", this was introduced as a new pattern in 1897. The small open compote measures 5 inches (12.7 cm) in diameter and is just over 4.25 inches (10.8 cm) in diameter. This jelly compote is in excellent used condition with no cracks, chips, roughness, nor repairs. There are light surface scratches in places. Compote is used so there may be minor wear or additional signs of use. See photos. The glass is bright and clear with no cloudiness, discoloration, nor lime scale present. There may be bubbles, a shear (straw) mark, or other minor imperfections within the glass due to the manufacturing process used at the time. Small open compote will be shipped from a smoke-free home and will be packed securely for shipping. Good luck and thank you for your interest.
