Description: Eames Case Study House 8 Doorbell / Mexican Wedding Bell Four sided Oaxaca Clay Wedding Bell Such a wonderful find! Offered is a vintage 1950’s Oaxacan barro negro pottery bell. It was made popular by its association with Charles and Ray Eames case study house no. 8. Avid travelers. They brought a similar bell home and then adapted it as their doorbell which still exists hanging outside the Iconic home! Dimensions: 6”x5.5”. In excellent condition with all its bells! A rare find… these are quite elusive! A treasure for the ardent collector! This was a display piece kept inside. It is obviously not the doorbell from the Eames home, but a similar bell that I acquired back in the 1950’s from Mexico. See photos for best description.
