Description: This listing is for a an LB7 Duramax 6.6 engine with 5 speed Allison automatic 2 wheel drive transmission. This is a NON RUNNING ENGINE being sold as a CORE FOR REBUILD. This engine cranks but does not fire. Trans is also unknown since I was not able to drive the truck. This truck was purchased a few years ago buy a friend of mine for a swap into his rollback. He never had the truck started, and I ended up buying the rollback and this truck. When he bought the truck, he was told that the engine was not getting fuel. However.... when I brought the truck home, I had my diesel mechanic check it out and it does not sound healthy. It cranks fast, like its low on compression, and would not hit on starting fluid. Glow plugs were unhooked when starting fluid was applied. I am selling this as a complete takeout. Wiring harness, ECM, accessories, turbos, manifolds, etc is included. Body will be unplugged and set off the frame, then the motor trans will be lifted out and shipped as a complete unit. Steering column will be included. This is a great base to start with and rebuild for your one of a kind hotrod project! No core charge!
