This Dunhill Thames Oak is unsmoked with only minimal scuffs on bowl and vulcanite stem. Inner and outer boxes show some signs of wear. The limited edition pipe is numbered 299 of 500. The wood was discovered during excavations by the Museum of London's Archeological Service on a site just north of London Bridge. Using the extremely accurate method of dendrochronology, which is used to calibrate carbon dating, this wood has been certified, by University College London, to have grown from 186 BC to 63 AD."
