Description: This Dunhill Dead Root (DR) Briar Six Star (******) pipe was purchased by the seller at their shop in London in the 1990s. It is a bent pipe which is 6 inches long with a "free form" bowl which is 2 inches high. The pipe has an even straight grain in a traditional dark tan finish. It was rarely smoked and restored to an "as new" condition by a Dunhill authorized agent. Dunhill's DR designation is reserved for pipes with flawless briar that display an especially choice grain. The number of stars reflects the fineness of the grain; the six stars stamped on this pipe represents the highest grade and is extrememly rare. Almost impossible to duplicate, this one of a kind pipe would be an exceptional addition to any collection.
