Description: Dudson Hanley Jasper Ware England Dancing Classical Ladies 4 PIECE TEA SET Classic design of dancing ladies in antique white on a navy blue background. Very similarin look to Wedgwood's Jasperware. Many assume that unmarked Jasperware pieces were Wedgwood's however they were most likely Dudson as Wedgwood was quite meticulousin marking their wares. The Dudson pottery of Hanley, Staffordshire produced pottery since the 1800s and wasfamous for a fully glazing the interior but only lightly on the outside producing a lovely feelin the hand. All of these pieces employ that technique - nice and glossy inside. Unfortunately the company went into receivership in 2019 and its new owner is no longer making these classic pieces. The backstamp on each piece was used since 1945. Included are the following: 1. 3.25 inch tall small jug-form CREAMER that has a 2.5 inch base.1. 6 inch tall JUG that is 4 inches at its widest part.1. 3.75 inch diameter SUGAR BOWL - the lid is missing - that is 3.25 inches tall.1. 5.25 inch diameter at its widest part and 6 inches to the top of its finial is a TEAPOT which comfortably holds 4 cups of liquid. Quite sturdily made weighing 2 pounds excluding the lid. Enjoy!
