Description: Twelve (12) stabbed and graded Dr. Kildare and Ben Casey trading cards from the 1960s.These cards were examined and authenticated by PSA Authentication & Grading Services which prides itself as "The showcase standard for authentication and grading." These cards, printed in the U.S.A. in 1962, are marked alternately as Bing Crosby Prod. Inc. and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc. as producers of these two popular medical dramas. All of the cards are graded 8/10 NM-MT (Near Mint to Mint) with the exception of the last card which is graded slightly better at 8.5/10NM-MT+. They are sealed in hard plastic holders which stack neatly upon one another. The autographs are facsimiles. Dr. Kildare was a top-10 hit with audiences and ran until April 5, 1966, for a total of 191 episodes in five seasons. The success of the show (along with ABC's concurrent medical drama Ben Casey) inspired the launch of numerous other television medical dramas in the ensuing years. It starred Richard Chamberlain as Dr. Kildare and Raymond Massey as Dr. Gillespie. Ben Casey was an American medical drama series that aired on ABC from 1961 to 1966.The show was known for its opening titles, which consisted of a hand drawing the symbols "♂, ♀, ✳, †, ∞" on a chalkboard, as cast member Sam Jaffe uttered, "Man, woman, birth, death, infinity." Neurosurgeon Joseph Ransohoff served as a medical consultant for the show. It starred Vince Edwards as Dr. Ben Casey and Sam Jaffe as Dr. David Zorba.
