Description: ARTIST SIGNED: DOROTHY SPANGLERA born artist, Dorothy grew up in Northern California, where she found her first love, painting light and color. After attending college with a major in art, she continued her studies under the guidance of artists William Ward of Los Altos, and Henry Hensche of Cape Cod. Dorothy has had one-woman shows in galleries in San Francisco, Carmel, Irvine, Newport Beach, Palm Springs, Beverly Hills, New Orleans, and Barbizon, France. Her paintings are currently on display at the Cohen Abee Gallery in San Francisco, and New Masters Gallery in Carmel, California. Additionally, Dorothy’s lithographs have been sold as part of the Curator’s Collection, representing Carnival Cruise Lines. She is a charter member of the Women in the Arts Museum in Washington DC with her works are included in the museum’s Library Research Center.
