Description: This is a DONATH & CO c.1883 Hand Painted 10-1/2" Cabinet Plate Dresden Flowers Gold Dots. The backmark on this plate can be dated to 1883 and was used by at least two different porcelain decorating studios - Donath & Co and Richard Klemm. Since I mostly see a different backmark on Richard Klemm pieces, I believe there is a better chance this was painted by Donath & Co. There are tiny gold beaded dots on the edge and verge, however, some of the dots are missing as shown in the photo. Still a beautiful, professionally painted plate for display. Otherwise, it is in great condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or wear in the artist's painting. Please view and magnify photos as they are part of the description. This is a previously used item and may show light signs of gentle use. Anything beyond that will be specifically noted in the description. Also, it is common for vintage items to have minor manufacturing imperfections in the pattern, trim, or glaze. More serious flaws will be noted in the description.
