Description: Up for bid is a striking lithographic poster designed by the acclaimed American artist DONALD JUDD for his 1970 exhibition at the Leo Castelli Gallery (NYC). This particular example is an authentic licensed reprint that was published by the Judd Foundation in 2020. The reprint edition sold out quickly, and is now very collectible. From the Judd Foundation... "For the solo exhibition, Don Judd, works were installed at both Leo Castelli Gallery, New York, on East 77th Street, and at the Castelli Warehouse, New York, on 108th Street (April 11 – May 2, 1970). The poster combines Judd’s drawing practice and interest in graphic design, depicting his drawing of a site-specific work included in the exhibition. The room-sized work, made of galvanized iron panels, wrapped three walls of Leo Castelli Gallery and was later installed at the Whitney Museum in 1988 and at David Zwirner Gallery in 2020." The print is in very good condition, with a few small soft roll creases and very light edge wear as shown. Never framed and printed on a sheet of medium weight woven paper which measures 24" x 29".
