Insert the battery with the rough side facing the spring and the smooth side with the text facing the cover.5.Once the disk is securely attached to the ceiling, hang the lamp on the small two lugs found on the hanging disk. (The metal lugs fit into a channel at the lamp's base - with a half counter-clockwise turn it will hook on. To remove it, turn it a half-clockwise turn to set it loose).
