The edition for sale here was copyrighted in 2002 by Little, Brown and Company of New York and Boston and is an expanded edition from the original version. The Eastern Orthodox monastery of New Skete is located in Cambridge, New York; the monks there have been known for their breeding of German Shepherds and for their training of all breeds of dogs. The book is 336 pages long and contains several photographs of the training of dogs; the book measures about 6" by 9.5". There are 47 chapters; the section headings are as follows: An Introduction to Training, Environments, Sensitivity Exercises, Starting Off Right, Standard Obedience Exercises, Problems and A Parting Word. Although pre-owned, the book is in excellent condition. I could find no markings, folded corners or missing pages inside the book; the dust jacket is intact with only a few indentations and indications the book has been pre-owned.
