Previously known as Disco Scene, I believe this issue is the first monthly edition to be titled Disco Scene II. Disco Scene/ (II) was a high quality, glossy stock music magazine published from approximately 1966 to 1969. It had very limited regional distribution, and I believe it was principally based in Philadelphia. But, as you can see on the Table of Contents page this issue has a local Springfield, Virginia contact mailing address and name, top left of the page. Besides the national and well known music artists, the regional music scene is also covered in a small portion of each issue. Local adverts and boss jocks from local radio stations were also featured, as you can see in a couple of the photos. The regional music coverage and adverts made each issue slightly different from the Disco Scene magazine published in other regionsMeasures: 11"x 8.5", and is 60 pages in length, as the cover and Table of Contents indicate, there are articles on the Doors/Jim Morrison, Buddy Guy, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Van Ronk, Blood,Sweat, & Tears, Arlo Guthrie, among other stuff to include local Northern Virginia fare.Thanks Please Ask ?
