Friedrich Heinrich von der Hagen und (I can't read this name - see title page photo). Very Good Condition, unbound, encased, German publication. The two-piece band 2 appeared 1820-1825 under the title "Book of Heroes." Title on cardboard case with flaps to enfold pages, has wear in edges plus few small tears. Hand-made linen/rag paper pages have rough edges and are generally bright with occasional foxing. First and last pages are toned and have small amount of pencil writing. 234 pages in 1st section, followed by sections of 16, 104 and 72 pages. This is a very rare offer valuable to collectors of very old books- this was originally unbound so that the would-be buyer could select his own style of binding.
