The horizontal and the angled members of each bracket are connected with a rivet through a slot, which allows the 2 components to slide back and forth up to 3/4". Because of this design innovation, you can opt to use a 3/4" thick wall cleat (or no cleat at all), and the bracket will compensate automatically!
