Description: StLouBrown’s Bygone Days “Let Bygones Be Back” Depression-era yardstick which served as an advertising premium for Seyfarth & Pash, dealers in hardware, furnaces and metal work. The store was located in downtown Freeport, Illinois. The yardstick dates from the early days of the Great Depression, because the Feb. 21, 1935 edition of the Freeport Journal-Standard, includes a notice that Seyfarth & Pash had declared bankruptcy (see item included in photos). Item manufactured by the Coshocton Novelty Co., Coshocton, Ohio. Yardstick measures 1 ¼” wide and ¼” thick.
