Description: Here's an American walnut Victorian era dental, medical or optician's cabinet ca. 1880. The small size suggests it might have been a companion piece to a larger cabinet. The left half has 4 drawers above a single full width lower drawer. The right side rotates exposing 4 velvet lined shelves for instruments or whatever. The gallery is wood and brass. As you can see in one of the pictures, there's a very slight separation between the 2 boards of the top caused by shrinkage over the last 140 years. Otherwise the condition is excellent and the original finish is as good as it gets. I think the size -- 39 inches tall at the gallery X 16 inches deep X 28 inches wide-- is perfect for a jewelry chest or collectors cabinet.
