Description: Demantiod GarnetNew with tag. Handsome men's ring in size 10. The main stone is a genuine demantoid garnet from the Ambanja mine in northern Madagascar, and the accent stones are white zircon (a natural gemstone, not to be confused by the man made one by a similar name). The setting is real 14K gold vermeil over sterling silver, stamped 925.The demantoid garnet is a pretty shade of yellow-green. This unusual type of garnet is considered one of the rarest gemstones on earth. As with most natural gemstones, the demantoid garnets in this ring may have some small inclusions. Four 2mm square cut stones are set side by side to form a larger square. All of the garnets together add up to 0.27cts. Surrounding them glitters a row of small round cut white zircons, creating a halo affect. White zircons also decorate the shoulders of this ring, and all of the stones together add up to 0.5cts. The sterling silver setting is clad with 14K gold and it shows off the stones nicely. This ring has a comfortable under gallery, and it the ring weighs 4.6 grams. Subjecting precious metals, pearls or gemstones to harsh chemicals and high temperatures can be damaging. My ebay store is located in the United States.
