Description: I like my knives sharp enough to shave a gnat’s a$$. Shouldn’t everyone? Hand made in the USA with unparalleled attention to detail. I use Walnut for the grip because of its beauty and strength. The leather is premium 10 oz leather and is much thicker than other strops on the market. This strop outlasts others for this very reason. I hand select all lumber, cut straight from the mill. I ensure that the leather is always flush with the wood. These features, and the thicker leather, are several qualities that set “Bushcraft Supply” strops apart from others on the market allowing the user to more effectively make contact with and strop recurved edges. Hand sanded and finished with a generous coat of boiled linseed oil on the handle. I use boiled linseed oil because it penetrates, strengthens, and protects the wood. This strop is 12" overall with a 4" handle. Four stropping surfaces include two smooth and two rough and are 8" x 1.5" each. The lanyard hole is oversized and reinforced with a 316 stainless steel tube so you can hang this on a hook in your workshop without damaging the wood. I shape the handle and apply the leather completely by hand with no pre fabrication or automation. Every strop is made one at a time by me with my hands and eyes as quality control. Therefore, each one is unique and may vary a bit in dimensions. These are great for sharpening knives, axes, razors, or any other tool that requires a sharp edge. You will not be disappointed in the quality of this strop!! The strop pictured is a prototype. You will receive a new, hand made strop. Please see all my survival tools and products on Etsy.
