Description: Special kidney shaped plate, approximately 7 1/2" across, used by Delta Air Lines on prop aircraft in the 1950s. This plate was replaced in the early 1960s by a similar design that was white and peach in color and used on the DC-8s when they were introduced. The service would normally have two of these plates with the two part ends pushed together. They come from the collection of a 40+ year airline employee.
