This rug has a Hamadan influence, with the colors and weaving agility of the Kurdish.I have been told the rug is a Gholtogh - and that seems correct. Whatever its origin, it is a beauty. The overall color is red but it is coordinated with blues, browns, orange, white, some abrash - a colorful mix in a traditional rug. It is generally in good shape. The headends could probably use some securing but the field is complete and the rug is sturdy, even a bit stiff. A good rug for use on both floor or display on a wall.
