Description: A very pretty and unique delft plate, likely early 19thcentury. With a green patterned field, blue border, and naïve animal shape in the center encircled by a leaf spray. Possibly Spanish or English delft. Signed to the back. The plate is 10.5 inches wide,1.25” deep. Personal collection, acquired from an antiques dealer in the Lancaster PA. In generally good condition, with small nibbling around the rim, as shown. No hairlines/no restorations. There do seem to be nubs on the back where the plate would have been raised up on pins in firing. No returns
