Description: #1 and #2 THE SOULS OF CYBER-FOLK PART 1 Guest-starring the X-Man, Forge! Deathlok squares off with the Capturebots after Forge and Misty Knight are nearly kidnapped. Why are the Capturebots after cyborgs? And will Deathlok and Misty Knight be able to save Forg #16 - 21 Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Cybertek, the company that created the Deathlok cyborg, has been closed after their criminal acts became public; but its parent company Roxxon Oil Corporation is still covertly hiring several of the immoral people in the Deathlok project to generate a new cyborg for military use: The Cyberwarriors, who use dead human brains so as to avoid the problem of Deathlok (when the living human brain took over the cyborg). The Cyberwarriors were to be sold to several countries and criminal organizations. As irony goes, Roxxon hires Deathlok to "recover" the Cyberwarriors, which they claim are Roxxon property; Roxxon's Clayton Burr claims they can return Deathlok to his human body in exchange. Nick Fury of SHIELD, also trying to pin Roxxon for this, asks Deathlok to not interfere in SHIELD's investigation, but can't convince him. Deathlok contacts Silver Sable, who owes him one, and she agrees to collaborate with Deathlok in the attack on the Cyberwarrior-building base in Paris. Meanwhile, the memories of the previous Deathlok, John Kelly, are reactivated as a kind of artificial intelligence in Deathlok's mind. The operation against the Cyberwarriors in Paris is partially successful, thou several civilians are killed. The man behind the Cyberwarrior project, Harlan Ryker, is apprehended, and he incriminates Burr. Kelly escapes the Deathlok cyborg and takes control of a Cyberwarrior, taking the alias Siege. Several Cyberwarriors are already sold to Middle East interests and the Genesis Coalition, a group that Sable has a personal problem with; Sable decides to track Genesis, while Siege tracks any sold Cyberwarrior to destroy them. Deathlok's body is lost in the Paris area, and is believed destroyed, and one of the two cybersurgeons who could return Deathlok to his human body (Dr. Hu) is killed; but Deathlok happily returns with his family. Sable and Siege collaborate with Stingray to infiltrate the Genesis Coalition base, which Genesis had stolen from Hydra. Hydra hired mercenary team Next Wave to recover the base. In an uncoordinated attack, the base is damaged, but the Genesis Coalition cuts loses and starts a Cyberwarrior attack on Transia, to turn it into their own HQ. They find that Transia is defended by the Knights of Wundagore, and Siege is after the Cyberwarriors. Once more, the Genesis Coalition retreats, their Cyberwarriors lost. Sable ends up in good terms with Siege and, while she despises Next Wave's recklessness, she accepts Sandman (who had left the Wild Pack to join Next Wave) back in the Wild Pack.
