The original of this guide sign, complete with the logo of the California Department of Public Works, Division of Highways, would cost many thousands of dollars - if it even survives! Only historic photos of it are known (I have shared one here!). this is a faithful remake rescaled by 1/2 from the original 42x22 size to 21 by 11 inches. otherwise, it is exactly as the original, with the correct layout, fonts and colors. it weighs about 5 pounds, 15 ounces. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality.
