DC Comics Presents 49 Superman & SHAZAM vs Black Adam 4th Appearance 1982 VF

Description: This issue is from September 1982. This issue is being listed for educational purposes, so please don't email me about the price...I want to let people know this issue IS NOT the 2nd appearance of Black Adam as some are listing. All will agree that the 1st bronze age appearance of Black Adam is SHAZAM #28 (his origin from Marvel Family is reprinted in SHAZAM #8). After that, Black Adam appears in DC All New Collectors' Treasury C-58 (Superman vs SHAZAM) in 1978. If you look at the 2nd scan I've included from page 14 of DC Comics Presents #49, it alludes to in the 6th panel. The 3rd scan is from page 15 of DCCP #49 referencing World's Finest 267, in which Black Adam battles Captain Marvel Jr in 1981, also published before DCCP 49. There is a panel in World's Finest #257 showing Teth Adam in prison, but not Black Adam. Based upon this info, mainly from the comic so many are listing as "2nd Black Adam", please do not buy this comic under that assumption. While this is a great comic with classic fights between Black Adam, Superman, and Captain Marvel, it is certainly not his 2nd appearance. Scans are of the actual comic.
