Pour the oil in to the water inlet port. DO NOT RUN THE PUMP DRY! CONNECT THE HOSES (1/2” diameter reinforced hose or larger) For best operation prime the pump by flling the inlet hose with water and put the open end of the hose in the water you wish to pump. With a washer installed attach it to the inlet side of the pump. If this joint leaks air, the pump will not operate. Make the outlet hose as short as possible - 25' or less.INLET HOSE GOES IN THE WATER; OUTLET HOSE STAYS OUT OF THE WATER. MOTOR MUST STAY DRY. Make sure all inlet connections are tight (no air/water leaks) and the inlet hose is in the water. Make sure the end of the outlet hose is not under water. If the outlet hose is under water, the pump may not work.
